Experience this season of waiting anew through an Advent Organ Meditation with works by John Jacob Niles, Dan Locklair, and featuring Marcel Dupré’s splendid work, Variations on a Noel. Journey with the angelic hosts in a time of worship and declaration: Christ the Saviour is coming! The meditation will be performed by Artist-in-Residence, SharonRose Pfeiffer on the St. Cecilia organ, recently restored by Nelson Barden of Boston. It is comprised of parts from twenty-seven different E. M. Skinner organs, includes over 12,000 pipes, and is the only one in the world with its particular surround-sound configuration.
